Mark Tekushan, Photographer
Mark Tekushan's body of work spans from 1973 to the present, with the launch of this site in 2010. The majority of his work has gone unseen, with less than 2% of his work scanned for viewing. With the addition of digital photography his work encompasses everything from traditional photography to photo design. With his family's background in architecture and the arts, and Mark's own abstract point of view, he has developed a unique perspective to his photography that captures a moment, the moment of a sense of movement and energy, provoking an emotional response. Over the last 30 years Mark has worked in television and film industry as a Creative Director. As an Art Director at HBO in the mid-80s then as owner of Markefxs NYC. (www.mfxs.com) His clients have included HBO, Cinemax, CBS, NBC, ABC, ESPN, The Ministry of Turkish Tourism & Culture, to name a few. He creates bold, innovative, high-end media design and advertising for television, print, and the web. His work has been recognized with awards from the Academy of Arts & Science, Emmy Awards, and The New York Art Director's Club. Mark has taken his experience to education, in which he taught Broadcast Design and Ideas in Motion at the Parsons School of Design New School; and most recently Title Design for Motion Pictures and Broadcast Advertising for the Master's Program at NYU's Center for Advanced Digital Applications.
